CareersEdU is a career consultancy exclusively for teachers and those working in education.
Although many of our clients use us to help them find alternative careers, CareersEdU is the only Career Consultancy that also offers bespoke coaching for those wanting to progress their career within and into the profession.

All of our consultants have been teachers or have worked in the education sector - we never outsource to external 'corporate' consultancy firms.
​
Therefore, our services and prices reflect what we feel is reasonable for those on the main teacher pay scale - as we do not believe in charging corporate prices for those not on corporate pay scales.

Our approach is a life-long learning one, although we are happy to offer extended support, our sessions are intended to give you tools to move yourself forward in the future. Some of our clients only need one session - others more - but we will never encourage to you book more sessions than you need.

The Story
Before becoming a professional career consultant and coach, I had a teaching career that took me from Secondary to Further Education and finally to Primary.
I have worked as a supply teacher, as an examiner and in middle-management roles. ​

A career changer myself, I know the struggles when thinking of leaving:
​
- what else can I do?
- how will I cope financially if I have to take a pay cut?
- how will I find the time and energy to consider my options?
- who can I turn to for help?
​
Furthermore, during my teaching career I changed schools several times, changed subjects and moved into Head of Year and Subject-lead roles. Throughout all of this, I had no guidance, no help - not because there wasn't support out there, I just didn't know where to find it.
​
Once I'd worked as a professional careers consultant for a few years, I realised I wanted to set up a consultancy that helps those who spend their days helping others. A consultancy that supports teachers and those in education.
​
Not only do I bring my decade-long teaching career to the table, I am a Registered Career Development Professional (RCDP) with the Career Development Institute.
